Eric Brown

Eric is the Director at Prince George’s County Department of Housing and Community Development (DHCD). In this role, Eric supervises three governmental agencies under DHCD and oversees their budget, manages over 150 employees and meets with real estates developers, county and state elected officials and many high level government officials.

DHCD had a troubled past that had gotten off track, but once Eric joined the team, his leadership and guidance led DHCD in the right direction. Recently, DHCD was awarded the HAND award for Best Government Housing initiative for its My HOME Homeownership Program by the Housing Association of Nonprofit Developers and Eric was selected as the 2015 Housing Person of the Year by the Maryland Affordable Housing Coalition.

Eric is passionate about using his experience and expertise to better the DHCD, the Housing Authority and the Redevelopment Authority of Prince George’s County.
