40 or 50 years of government service – at a single agency – is nearly unheard of today. Now employees often switch between agencies, departments and even dip into the private sector for a time to grow their skills and experiences. But all of this movement can make charting a career path a bit difficult.

Speaker:

Dr. Jamie Crews is a certified Senior HR professional with over sixteen years of public sector HR experience.  She specializes in strategic talent management with an emphasis in leadership and organizational development.  Jamie helped establish and now leads the County of Orange’s first Organizational Development function.  There her team serves the County by providing strategic talent development solutions and actionable coaching and consulting services to help a workforce of nearly 18,000 people deliver exceptional public service to over 3.2 million residents. 

As an experienced change practitioner, Jamie has led large-scale organizational changes, talent development initiatives, and served as a coach to senior leaders.  She has designed several award-winning talent development programs, led culture transformation initiatives, and loves partnering with leaders to maximize their potential and that of their team.   

Jamie earned her Doctorate degree in Organizational Leadership, graduate degree in educational counseling, and an undergraduate degree in sociology.  Her research focus is on women in leadership, with an emphasis on public sector leaders.
