Amelia Cohen-Levy has been called the Kevin Bacon of NGA. Currently serving as a public affairs officer in the Office of Corporate Communications, she previously served as an editor of analytic products, a technical writer, and a communications specialist. She earned her BA in English from Mills College and her MFA in creative writing, with an emphasis in poetry, from American University. Cohen-Levy is an active member of the NGA Parents Network and the Women at NGA initiative and was nominated in 2018 for an Employee Role Model Award. Before joining Team NGA, she worked in private industry, academia, and publishing. She thinks that building relationships has been key to her happiness—and the Hufflepuff in her would be so pleased if we learned how to get along with each other— and improved the government by doing so.
