Biography
Stephanie Rowe founded Design Thinking DC (DT:DC) to bring together people from business, design, technology, and beyond to learn and share design thinking and innovation methods. This group of almost 500 members comes together for radical collaboration on methodologies, practices and experiences to facilitate and deliver innovation in the world.
Stephanie is also the Founder & CEO of NEXT LLC, a consulting company providing innovation and strategy implementation services to organizations seeking to rapidly and sustainably transform their operations, workforce, services or products. Stephanie’s background blends strategy, design, operations and technology. As a member of the Senior Executive Service at the Transportation Security Administration (TSA), Ms. Rowe was the Executive Director for Security Evolution and the Assistant Administrator for the Office of Transportation Threat Assessment and Credentialing. Prior to TSA, Ms. Rowe was a Senior Executive at Accenture specializing in managing complex, large-scale transformation initiatives, including business architecture, human performance and information technology components, for Fortune 100 companies across multiple industries.

Leading companies like Google, IDEO, and Facebook do this all this time. So if we are going to improve government and bring strategic change, we should incorporate design thinking.
